Pop QuizA feedback system for multiple choice quiz on Palm Pre phone
For this project, we needed to create a quiz app focusing on young learners with Palm pre phone. We had to create interactions facilitating the users to take multiple choice quiz with pictures. The explanations for the answers should be quickly understandable for all the options – right, wrong and unmarked. We focused on learners who have very less time. The challenge is to create transparent interactions taking into account the time constraints of the users; meeting accessibility standards; and exploiting the Palm Pre mobile features such as touch screen, keyboard layout etc. We started our process by creating personas – a young student and a part time learner. We sketched and brainstormed diverse parts of the interactions – various ways of explaining the answers, selecting and deselecting choices, input methods for submitting the choices, navigation between questions, tracking the current question etc., We got feedback from usability tests of a paper mock up and then reiterated the design using user feedback and our own reflections.
