Criconnect

A website for cricket fans to connect with the cricket game

Criconnect, my Master’s capstone, is a website designed for cricket fans to connect with the game of cricket in their local area within United States. A lot of cricket fans travel to United States for studies and work but lack the access to cricket community and resources. I started by understanding the desire of the cricket fans through surveys, participation, interviews and design sessions, primarily with members of IUBCC cricket club in Bloomington, Indiana. In addition I looked into HCI & sports as well as critically analyzed ‘Google groups’ to better inform my design.

Using the insights from my research, I intentionally designed a website for students who travel to Bloomington and have a desire to connect. The website allows the cricket fans to know where cricket is happening locally and provides more rich information such as weather, map and transport. In addition, the website allows the members to schedule matches as well as watch games – either with public or with chosen friends/fans.
